This game was created in seven days for the Gameboy Showdown 2023 using GB Studio.

Magali The Wiener 

Since this year's theme is friendly, I tried to create a game that is about friendship and that is also friendly for any person to play.

The main objective is to take Magali for a walk, but there are some tasks to perform first.

My inspiration for the idea was my friendship with my wiener dog, Magali:


Backgrounds, sprites, and music were all created by me during the seven days of the jam, with some help from my wife with tile patterns and the overall background layout (thank you <3).

For sound effects, I used gbstudio presets and FX Hammer.

Controls (PC/Game Boy):

  • Arrow-keys/d-pad: move
  • Z/A: interact
